Knowing Your Skin Type

There are different types of people having different types of skin.Skin is a very sensitive and important part of our body,every body wants it to glow and shine but due to the lack of knowledge about the type of skin they have,they use different types of products that do not suit their skin type which results in harmful side effects of the products.So it is better to know your skin type so that it becomes easy to take care of your skin,you can select a better product for your skin.There are three basic types of the skins-Oily,Dry and Normal.There are different types also such as Sensitive type etc.The information about them are mentioned below:

• Dry Skin: This type of skin usually dries up after washing.Feels the tension in the skin that is it dries up very quickly.It feels very tight specially after cleansing.The people having this type of skin generally has the problems of fine wrinkles, flaking and red patches on the skin.This skin type needs some cream to get rid from the dryness of the face.

• Oily:This type of skin usually has so much of oil on the face.In this type you may experience some tightness.It usually looks thick, greasy, shiny, coarse and has enlarged pores. The problems associated with the oily skin are it is prone to blackheads and has enlarged pores, & blemishes.

• Normal:This is the combination of both the above two skin types which has the property of both above mentioned skin.They have problems such as being oily in the t-zone, might tend towards dryness on the cheeks.

Now the question which arise is how would we know our skin type?To answer this question we will tell you about the skin test which you must carry out to know which type of skin do you have.In the test you have to first wash you face and pat it dry,then take a paper(glass-cleaning tissue paper,rice paper etc),apply it on the different spots on your face by pressing the paper at different spots.Now match the result with following points:

• If the paper sticks in the forehead,nose and chin which is called the T-Zone of the face then your skin type is "Normal Skin".

• If the paper sticks picking up oily spots and becomes translucent then you skin type is "Oily"

• And if above two situation do not happen then your skin is dry that is if the paper doesn't stick or pick up oily spots then your skin is "Dry"
